Born 1965 in Munich, Germany. Master in Experimental Physics (University of Basel, Basel, Switzerland). Research Fellow at the Dept. for Mathematics and Astronomy (Goetheanum, Dornach, Switzerland). PhD in Environmental Sciences (Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich, Switzerland). Post-Doc in the Dept. for Environmental Physics (EAWAG Aquatic Research, Dübendorf, Switzerland). 

Since 1996 Senior Research Scientist in the Dept. for Basic Research (50% at the Hiscia Research Institute of the Society for Cancer Research, Arlesheim, Switzerland, as well as 50% at the Institute of Complementary Medicine IKOM, University of Bern, Bern, Switzerland). Lecturer at the University of Bern since 2009.
